What is it: The BCON training seminar teaches participants basic, but life-saving, haemorrhage control interventions and basic airway management techniques.
Purpose & Method Controlling bleeding in casualties is vital, as haemorrhage is the most common treatable condition that threatens a casualty's life. Training includes managing bleeding with direct pressure, using a tourniquet (Combat Application Tourniquet, C-A-T), and employing haemostatic dressings and agents, with the primary aim of stabilising the casualty until professional medical help arrives.
Who is it for: The seminar is aimed at volunteer groups, corporate teams, corporate fire brigades, security personnel, teachers, and all citizens.
