Trauma First Response - TFR
The «Trauma First Response» (TFR) Seminar is a one-day training programme that follows the fundamental principles of PHTLS Pre-hospital Trauma Care.
This addresses the first link in the chain that will lead to the successful treatment of the injured person. Thus, it addresses the first responders to an injury incident, such as police officers, firefighters, rescue teams, security personnel, informed citizens, and others, who arrive at the scene of the injury before healthcare professionals.
PHTLS for First Responders (TFR) covers the core content of PHTLS, for all those who have not had previous related training.
The lectures and practical training at the stations are based on the method of care that «first responders» can provide.
Management of life-threatening conditions (airway management, haemorrhage control)
Correct information for services
Ways that trainees (either as individuals or as members of a volunteer rescue team) can help health professionals.
The training on the above is carried out based on a protocol which constitutes the common language of communication with pre-hospital healthcare professionals.
Program Structure
During the seminar, the theory and practice detailed in the PHTLS for First Responders (TFR) book will be taught. For this reason, you must study the book we are sending you very carefully.
The practical internship includes:
- Basic airway management skills
- Adult trauma immobilisation skills
- Emergency extrication technique
- Basic principles of bleeding management
- Basic principles in the assessment and management of the injured person.
The duration of the seminar is 8 hours of training.
